Discouraging News

A news arcticle on rediff.com states that DLF has halted the construction at DLF New Town Heights, Sector 90.

It does not list further details like is it a temporary measure and for how long. Will DLF also delay the schduled payments? There are no such details available.

Is it still advisable to send the Feb payment to DLF? Or can this be held back safely under these circumstances?

How can DLF ask for payment of dues for a project where it says that construction has been deferred.

DLF has charged 40% of payments till now and not provided with any kind of landmark based construction schedule for the project

Some sort of PIL can be filed against DLF for such stallment of the project.

We wrote to DLF customer service and got this response....

We wish to clarify that there is no ground to the news you are referring to. All the facts and figures mentioned are false.

We admit that there has been a delay in starting the project. However, we shall be delivering the property on the date confirmed to you i.e. within three years from the date of booking.

Reply from DLF:

Dear Sir,

This has reference to your email . The “Business Standard” report is totally false and absolutely incorrect in its contents and we deny it in totality. You will kindly see from the report that even the areas of the properties are mentioned as “rates of the properties”, from which you can appreciate what kind of report it is, as far as authenticity is concerned.

DLF is totally committed to its promise and will definitely live up to your expectations as far as completing the project in time and handing over is concerned.

Rest be assured that you will get your property on time and the work is as per schedule.

Hi Everyone

I have heard that DLF has also reduced the rates for one of its projects in Bangalore by 24% and it is applicable from retrospective effect. So all the existing as well as the new customers get this option.

I think keeping in mind the reduction in rates across all areas in Gurgaon, we should also demand a reduction in the rates for New Town Heights Project.

I would hate to see DLF coming with a new project just across New Town Heights in Sec 86/90/91 with 20% less Price 6 months down the line.

Please let us know where we should meet.

Just Checked http://harenvironment.gov.in/html/word_files/construction.doc

It says (See #126) DLF Newtownheights Sec 90/86/91 as "Recomanded by SEC".

What does that mean is it clear by Env Dept?
